Abstract :
Elements that have contributed to the success of deregulation include the elimination of a fixed charge charged to consumers who changed suppliers, the right to change supplier every week, the billing of small consumers based on the actual consumption profile for their local network area, and the publication of monthly price data by the Competition Authority.
