Abstract :
Californiaʹs Statewide Pricing Pilot experiment showed that residential and small to medium commercial and industrial customers conclusively reduced peak-period energy use in response to time-varying prices. Responsiveness varied with rate type, climate zone, season, air conditioning ownership, and other customer characteristics.
