Abstract :
Kenneth Layʹs secret partnerships and deceitful accounting certainly hurt Enronʹs investors, customers, and employees and tarnished his reputation, even if heʹs not found guilty of any crime when he goes to trial in January. Yet like Samuel Insull a century before him, Layʹs trial probably won’t stop the revolution he advanced within the power industry.
