Does unfunded social security also depress output growth?

It is well known that unfunded social security reduced fertility and more likely, depresses savings. Does it also depress output growth? This paper addresses the question in a framework of both endogenous fertility and growth. it is found that social security may induce higher growth if the fertility effect dominates the savings effect
