Semiparametric estimation of yield loss due to mistiming of crop operations

In agricultural economics, estimating parametric production functions is a common technique in the analysis of the economics of crop cultivation. However, when the timing of farmwork is included as an input factor, the parametric estimation approach can be inappropriate. This paper proposes a semiparametric regression method in this case.
