  • Abstract
    Existing computationally tractable duration models impose onerous restrictions on the hazard functionʹs shape. A theoretically consistent, tractable and yet flexible hazard function capable of exhibiting constant, monotonically increasing or decreasing, U-shaped, and inverted U-shaped forms is proposed.
