Condorcetʹs paradox under the maximal culture condition

Under the Maximal Culture condition, voter preference profiles are generated in the following way: a positive integer L is specified and, for each of the possible linear orders on the alternatives, the associated number of voters is selected from a uniformly random distribution over {0, 1, 2,..., L}. In this note, we provide an analytical representation for the probability of Condorcetʹs paradox in three-alternative elections under the Maximal Culture condition. © 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
