Abstract
We combine the income and capital accounts of commercial banks and of widget producing firms respectively to obtain a full accounting of the value of services produced by commercial banks. Deposit services are fully costed by widget producer-depositors and the costs are embodied in the value of widgets produced. There are no imputations needed in the accounts of non-financial firms. Households supply the labor, receive income from equity holdings in banks and widget producing firms, and consume the widgets and some deposit services from banks.
