The dynamics of optimal wealth distributions with recursive utility

In an economy with two agents having recursive preferences, an optimal wealth distribution is shown to be stable if and only if a perturbation results in the adversely affected agent becoming more patient than the positively affected one. This implies a weaker stability condition than traditionally used in the literature.
