Abstract :
Three sources of advantages to multi-product firm are considered: economies of scope, risk reduction and demand complementarity. Each source if of sufficient magnitude leads to a market equilibrium dominated by multi-product firms. As the market becomes sufficiently large the multi-product Cournot-Nash model is shown to converge to an efficient outcome
