  • Abstract
    On the basis of monthly labor force histories of respondents constructed from the Panel Study of Income Dynamics, this paper finds no occurrence dependence in unemployment spells, positive occurrence dependence in unemployment insurance spells, and substantial heterogeneity in occurrence dependence.
