On the measurement of relative demand shifts for educated labour

This note demonstrates that the methodology first suggested by Katz and Murphy [Q. J. Econ. 107 (1992) 35] to measuring relative demand shifts is valid also in more complex collective wage bargaining models, provided that relative wages are determined as constant mark-ups over relative marginal products.
