Studies on complexes of cobalt-, nickel-, copper-, zinc- and cadmium(n) with Schiff base derived from 3-aminodibenzofuran and salicylaldehyde

3-Aminodibenzofuran reacts with salicylaldehyde in the presence of a metal ion giving crystalline complexes of the type [ML(OAc). H20], where M = Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) and L = monoanion of the Schiff ba<^. The complexes are found to have four coordination number.
