Abstract :
Several series of Li1±xMn2−yO4±δ and Li1.05AlyMn1.95−yO4±δ samples with different oxygen defect degree have been synthesized by controlling synthesis temperature and procedures. The cycle performance of spinel as cathode in lithium batteries has been correlated with oxygen deficiency. The structure change of spinel during charge has also been investigated with respect with oxygen deficiency.
