Self-doped polyanilines

Self-doped polyanilines (PANIs) are polyaniline derivatives that bear negatively charged functional groups. These novel materials have many properties different from those of the parent polyaniline, and some specific fields for their use are expected. The present paper reviews some aspects of polymerization, electropolymerization, and properties of these materials.
