Representations of kronecker powers of orthogonal tensors with applications to material symmetry

Two explicit representations are obtained for the Kronecker powers of orthogonal second-order tensors. The derivations rely on the mathematical properties of Kronecker products and on classical pararnetrizations of orthogonal tensors. These representations are subsequently employed in the systematic construction of structural tensors and in the analysis of corotational rates of tensor functions. © 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd.
