Marie Curie conference report, 14–15 April 1994, Edinburgh. Do women in Scotland receive appropriate treatment for small breast cancer tumours?

A conference was organized in cooperation with the Marie Curie Foundation to ascertain firstly whether women in Scotland receive appropriate treatment for small breast cancers and secondly to recommend how optimal treatment can be delivered to these patients. The evidence presented and the recommendations of the Panel are outlined. Similar conferences in other countries may help to ensure that optimal treatment is available to all patients.
