Management of chemotherapy-resistant breast cancer

The second workshop of the European School of Oncology Task Force Programme on Breast Cancer — Management of Chemotherapy-Resistant Disease took place in London on 10–11 November 1995. The first workshop focused on the problems of anthracycline resistant disease and highlighted the need for operational definitions of anthracycline resistance when comparing novel approaches. The purpose of the present workshop was to appraise further the problem of chemoresistant breast cancer and examine the prospects for circumventing drug resistance.
