Abstract :
A series of patients having a mastectomy (n = 26) or a wide local excision (n = 8) and axillary dissection to level II were treated without axillary drainage. The skin flaps were sutured to the chest wall to reduce the dead space. This preliminary report assesses the outcome in these patients.
