Abstract
This study examines the differences in personality and menstrual variables between physically active (n = 14) and sedentary women (n = 11) in a sample of 25 young women (19–26 yr). To explore personality and depression differences the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) and the Beck Depression Inventory were administered. A General Inventory was employed to assess menstrual and anthropometric variables and the level of physical activity of the last year. Statistical analysis revealed significant differences only in the Psychoticism scale of the EPQ, showing that physically active women had higher scores in psychoticism than sedentary women.
