Abstract :
The Gudjonsson Suggestibility Scale (GSS-2) was administered to 37 anxious patients and 44 matched controls. Participants also completed the Dissociative Experiences Scale (DES), the Tellegen Absorption Scale (TAS) and the State-Trait-Anxiety Inventory (STAI). The results showed that the anxious patients have higher suggestibility, state/trait anxiety, dissociation and absorption scores than the normal controls. Suggestibility correlated positively with trait and state anxiety, dissociation and absorption in the entire sample.
