Abstract :
The aim of the present study was to assess the feasibility of the suggested bifactorial model of the EPQ Lie Scale with a Finnish and a Turkish sample. The Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) was administered to 318 Finnish and 227 Turkish university students. Results of factor and correlation analyses did not support the suggested dual nature of the Lie Scale. It was also found that Turks scored higher on the Lie Scale as well as on components A and B. In addition, women got higher scores on the Lie Scale scores and on component A than men. It was concluded that the translated versions of the EPQ Lie Scale into Finnish and Turkish are feasible unidimensional scales.
