Abstract
The Gudjonsson Suggestibility Scales (GSS) measure two types of interrogative suggestibility: ‘yield’, the extent one will yield to leading questions, and ‘shift’, the extent one will shift answers in response to negative feedback/interpersonal pressure. Normative data have been collected on the GSS in the UK, but such data have not been collected before in the US. Our goals were to collect normative data on the GSS2 in the US, to compare those data with the UK sample, and to examine differences among US subjects on the GSS2 with respect to gender, occupational status, age, and estimated IQ.
