Abstract
Mechanical, infectious and neurovascular foot complications are common in rheumatic diseases, partly because disabled rheumatic patients are unable to do their own daily foot-care. Proper diagnosis and treatment needs the close cooperation of the rheumatologist, podiatrist, physiotherapist and occupational therapist; the podiatrist is an important member of this multidisciplinary team.
