Madelungʹs disease: an uncommon disorder of unknown aetiology?

A case of Madelungʹs disease (benign multiple symmetrical lipomatosis, Launois-Bensaude syndrome) is described. The characteristic clinical features, associations with chronic alcoholism and a review of the current literature is reported.
