Abstract :
The favourable results from the treatment of Wilmsʹ tumour are an example of the success of multimodal therapy in paediatric oncology. The epidemiology, methods of diagnosis, benefits of pre-operative chemotherapy, basic principles of surgery and post-operative treatment modalities are presented. The approach to the management of Wilmsʹ tumour considered in this paper is mainly that of the International Society of Paediatric Oncology.
