RETRACTED: Continence after radical prostatectomy with bladder neck preservation

The journal was recently alerted to the fact that it duplicatesd very substantial sections and text from three articles previously published in the Journal of Urology (full references below). The authors have been contacted but we have not received a satisfactory explanation. Their institution will be informed. Modern plagiarism detection software systems now allow very detailed comparative analysis of submitted texts to be made. They are being introduced widely by publishers and are also being used by independent and academic verification teams. All authors are reminded of the importance of originality in their contributions and of appropriate acknowledgement where text and other forms of intellectual property are used directly from other sources. The European Journal of Surgical Oncology has strict policies on publication ethics and takes seriously any breach of these policies.
