On the findings of a radon intercomparison programme

A programme of intercomparison of Rn measurements was conducted in 1991 for five local organisations. Two rounds of intercomparison were implemented. The first indicated that the quality of measurement by these organisations were largely unacceptable and revealed some of the inherent uncertainties and critical factors for the various types of detectors used. After revision of the measurement techniques, all organisations attained reasonable and comparable results in the second round.
