Kit preparation of n.c.a. 3-[123I]Iodo-image-α-methyltyrosine [123I]IMT, image [123I]OMIT and image [123I]OMIMT using Sep-Pak™ C-18 cartridges

A kit preparation for three radioiodinated image-tyrosine derivatives avoiding HPLC purification is described. Using Iodo-gentm as an oxidant either in aqueous or in organic media, followed by simple solid phase extraction, yields 85 ± 5% n.c.a. [123I]IMT, 50 ± 5% n.c.a. [123I]OMIT and n.c.a. [123I]OMIMT with radiochemical purities >98% in less than 40 and 90 min, respectively.
