Abstract :
Ionizing radiation (IR) induced redox processes in liquid dosimetric systems based on diphthalocyanine metal (DPcM) complexes solutions in organic solvents are accompanied by changes in their visible spectra and magnetic properties which can be measured by electron spin resonance (ESR) method at g congruent with 2 and spectrophotometry (SP) without any special treatment of the samples. The good correlation between ESR and SP data for different systems based on solutions of DPc complexes of Lu, Hf and Zr can be explained by the fact that both methods determine the concentration of DPcM radical forms. The better accuracy of ESR method makes it possible to measure lower doses than using SP procedure.
