On-line production of [11C]cyanogen bromide

The electrophilic labelling precursor [11C]cyanogen bromide was produced in 95% radiochemical yield (decay-corrected) from hydrogen [11C]cyanide within 3 min from the end of bombardment using a simple and convenient solid-phase on-line procedure. The [11C]cyanogen bromide has been used in the synthesis of a number of labelled compounds for use in positron emission tomography.
