Abstract
LyngAgua S.L. is a Spanish company situated in Grand Canaria. The company has developed a complete seawater reverse osmosis system with a new pressure recuperator. A test plant of 700m3/d has been in operation since September 1999, supplying potable water to a high quality tourist complex. An industrial version plant of 2000m3/d has been in operation since August 2000, supplying a golf course project with water. This plant has achieved an energy consumption of 1.93 kWh/m3. The system has been developed using the technological basis of process, material and mechanical engineering as well as instrumentation and control from Norwegian North Sea and membrane and water technology with basis in Spain.
