Abstract :
Evidence is presented of photo-induced reversible changes in the a spiroxazine dye in the surface plasmon resonance angle of a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) on gold. The resonance angle shift of the SAM of spiroxazine dye increased with increasing refractive index of the solvent. Also reported is evidence of photoisomerization-induced structural change in cast films of spiroxazine dye.
