On the dilemma of the use of the electroneutrality constraint in electrochemical calculations

A simple treatment is developed to demonstrate that invoking the electroneutrality assumption to solve electrochemical transport problems is equivalent to invoking the limit of the exact (Nernst_Planck_Poisson) treatment when certain charge-densityrelated terms become negligibly small.
