Abstract :
Two new hybrid organic-inorganic compounds (H3NCH2CH2NH3)[Fe(C2O4) MoO4] (1) and Fe(H2NCH2CH2NH2) (2) were synthesized by the hydrothermal reaction between Fe(C2O2)·2H2O, molybic acid, and ethylenediamine. The structure of 1 consists of 2-D layers formed by [Fe(C2O4)MoO4]2- nets with H3N+CH2CH2N+H3 dications situated in the gaps. The structure of 2 features a double-layered structure formed by FeMoO4 units that are capped by cis-coordinated H2NCH2CH2NH2 molecules
