Effects of fly ash on fatigue and fracture properties of hardened cement mortar

Channel karren-like features are described, occurring on sediment free rock surfaces in flooded conduits. Direct observation during times of increased flow indicates an origin, at least in part, due to abrasion by moving sediment.
