Abstract :
Circumcision is one of the most commonly performed surgical procedures. Whereas, in modern Saudi Arabia, the majority of circumcisions are performed in a hospital set-up, traditional ritual circumcisions are still performed in the community. We report a case of a 4-year-old boy with amputation of the penis after ritual circumcision. Replantation was successful despite an ischaemia time of 18 h.
