Halo naevus or malignant melanoma? A case report

It is generally felt that a halo naevus is benign, and patients can be reassured. The lesion is frequently left alone. We present a case where the clinician felt reassured, but at the patientʹs insistence the lesion was excised. The histology result was not anticipated.
