Abstract
Purpoe:
To report the ucceful reduction of cycloporine doage with adjunctive ketoconazole in a patient with birdhot retinochoriodopathy.
Method:
Cae report.
Reult:
A 55-year-old woman treated with cycloporine for birdhot retinochoroidopathy had ketoconazole (200 mg/day) added to her medical regimen. Her cycloporine doage wa reduced to 40 mg per day from 200 mg per day, an 80% reduction. No toxic effect wa oberved during 12 month of follow-up nor wa there progreion of the birdhot retinochoroidopathy.
Concluion:
Cycloporine doage may be reduced coniderably in patient with uveiti who ue adjunctive ketoconazole. The regimen appear to be afe and efficaciou
