Bilateral multifocal retinal arteriolar heathing a the only ocular finding in hereditary amyloidoi

Purpoe: To report the early ocular finding in hereditary amyloidoi. Method: Cae report of a viually aymptomatic, 52-year-old Mexican man with ytemic manifetation of amyloidoi (peripheral neuropathy, retrictive cardiomyopathy), with a poitive family hitory, and with amyloid on an endomyocardial biopy pecimen, who had bilateral multifocal heathing or cuffing of the peripheral retinal arteriole. Reult: An extenive evaluation for retinal vaculiti wa dicontinued when hereditary amyloidoi wa diagnoed. Concluion: Focal retinal periarteriolar plaque of amyloid may be the earliet and only ocular finding of hereditary amyloidoi.
