Purpoe To decribe the complication of retained intraocular recipient corneal button after penetrating keratoplaty. Method Cae report. A 27-year-old man wa referred to u becaue of complication after penetrating keratoplaty on the right eye. lit-lamp examination dicloed a clear graft with a econd clear corneal button behind. Reult A econd penetrating keratoplaty wa performed uccefully on the right eye. Hitologic examination howed an intact epithelium and troma vacularization of the recipient corneal button. Immunochemitry of the recipient corneal button and the firt donor corneal button wa performed. Concluion Although the recipient corneal button remained inide the anterior chamber for 5 month, no epithelial ingrowth occurred.
