Purpoe To report the natural hitory of macular peudohole with regard to ophthalmocopic appearance and viual acuity. Method Thirty-ix eye of 34 patient with macular peudohole who were followed up for 1 year or longer were retropectively evaluated to compare the initial ophthalmocopic appearance and viual acuity with the mot recent follow-up appearance and viual acuity. Reult Mean viual acuity at initial examination wa 20/32 (median, 20/30); mean follow-up viual acuity wa 20/32 (median, 20/30). Fourteen eye (39%) had identical initial and final viual acuitie, and 30 eye (83%) had final viual acuity within 2 line on the viual acuity chart from their initial examination. Four eye had improved viual acuity of more than 2 line, and two eye lot more than 2 line of viual acuity. Thirty-one eye had adequate initial and follow-up photograph allowing comparion of macular appearance. Twenty-three (74%) of the 31 eye howed a definitive change in macular appearance. Concluion Viual acuity in patient with macular peudohole tended to remain table. However, the macular appearance changed in 74% of eye.
