  • Abstract
Purpoe To decribe a cae of radiation choroidopathy manifeting dratic remodeling of choroidal drainage route. Method Cae report. A 34-year-old man who had received radiation treatment for a tumor in the upper eyelid of hi right eye 15 year earlier had floating black pot. He wa examined ophthalmologically, including with indocyanine green angiography uing a canning laer ophthalmocope. Reult The right eye manifeted claic feature of radiation retinopathy in the uperior fundu. Indocyanine green angiography howed vao-occluion of choroidal arterie, capillarie, and vein in a wider area than that affected by radiation retinopathy. The uperotemporal vortex vein wa obliterated, reulting in a remodeling of the choroidal vein in the ame quadrant. The blood in thi quadrant drained into the inferotemporal vortex vein through collateral venovenou drainage route. Concluion The diagnoi in thi eye wa radiation retinopathy and radiation choroidopathy. Choroidal vacular leion were more pronounced and involved a wider area than retinal vacular leion did. Thi cae illutrate that the choroidal vein may manifet a vat platicity to remodel the drainage route after obliteration of a major vortex vein.
