Abstract :
Purpoe
To report a cae of cleral dicoloration econdary to minocycline therapy.
Method
Cae report of a patient referred to a univerity-baed cornea and external dieae clinic.
Reult
The patient had been treated with oral minocycline therapy for adult facial acne for 12 year when he began to develop bilateral blue-gray dicoloration of the clera a well a of the teeth, hard palate, ear, nail bed, and kin.
Concluion
Chronic ytemic minocycline therapy may induce cleral pigmentary change. The mechanim of dicoloration and the long-term natural hitory upon ceation of minocycline are unclear.
