Abstract :
Purpoe
To decribe the effect of immunoadorption therapy with a tryptophan-immobilized column on Fiher yndrome aociated with IgG anti-GQ1b ganglioide antibody.
Method
Three patient with Fiher yndrome and with a high erum IgG anti-GQ1b antibody titer underwent four to nine eion of immuno-adorption therapy with a tryptophan-immobilized column. Uing enzyme-linked immunoorbent aay (ELIA), we determined the difference in IgG anti-GQ1b antibody titer.
Reult
ELIA dicloed that the IgG anti-GQ1b antibody titer of the erum ample collected from the inlet of the column were markedly higher than thoe collected from the outlet for all three patient. Moreover, after completion of the immunoadorption therapy, the patientʹ erum IgG anti-GQ1b antibody titer were markedly lower than they were before the immunoadorption therapy. The patientʹ ophthalmoparei decreaed in everity during the therapy.
Concluion
Thee finding ugget that immunoadorption therapy with the tryptophanimmobilized column i an effective method for removing IgG anti-GQ1b antibody from erum.
