Purpoe To decribe a cae of capular bag ditention yndrome with opaque content noted 5 year after intraocular len implantation. Method A 66-year-old man underwent phaco-emulification after circular capulorhexi and intraocular len implantation in the left eye. Five year later, the poterior capule wa vaulted far poteriorly, the capular opening wa apparently ealed by the len optic, and the bag content were lightly opacified. Two year later, the content of the hyperditended capular bag howed intenified opacity, cauing definite blurred viion. Reult The opacified medium wa emptied from the capular bag poteriorly into the vitreou after Nd:YAG laer capulotomy, and the ditended capule wa retored. Concluion Our finding ugget that the content were collagen produced by reidual len epithelial cell or necrotic and/or apoptotic autolyzed len epithelial cell.
