Abstract :
Purpoe: To ue very high frequency ultraound canning for in itu analyi of a new phakic poterior chamber intraocular len (No-Touch; International Viion Inc, Cincinnati, Ohio).
Method: In thi pilot tudy, very high frequency ultraound (50 MHz) wide-angle (15 mm) full anterior egment can were obtained in two patient who had undergone phakic poterior chamber intraocular len implantation into legally blind eye with normal anterior egment anatomy.
Reult: Very high frequency ultraound B-can image delineated the phakic poterior chamber intraocular len within the poterior chamber. The relation to the ulci were clearly imaged. Anatomic relation of the phakic poterior chamber intraocular len optic and haptic were viualized in both tatic (light/dark) and kinetic (ditance/accommodative) tate.
Concluion: Very high frequency ultraound wide-angle canning provide a unique tool to noninvaively evaluate the eye preoperatively and the tatic and kinetic relation of thi new refractive device within the poterior chamber.
