Abstract :
Purpoe: To demontrate the drainage route that compenate the venou congetion in central retinal vein occluion. Method: Indocyanine green angiography wa performed in 13 eye of 13 patient with central retinal vein occluion at the involutional tage uing a canning laer ophthalmocope. The interval between onet of central retinal vein occluion and indocyanine green angiography ranged from 1.0 to 9.3 year (mean, 3.6 year). Panoramic indocyanine green angiogram that covered the entire choroidal vaculature were produced by compoing regional angiogram. Reult: Retinochoroidal collateral route were found in 10 eye that had papillary vacular loop. They were not oberved in three eye that did not have the vacular loop. Papillary vacular loop erved a the collateral to connect retinal vein and choroidal vein. The blood in the retinal vein wa drained through the papillary vacular loop into the choroidal vein. Thee choroidal vein were electively dilated and acted a drainage route to the vortex vein. Naal vortex vein erved a extraocular exit of the drainage route in all 10 eye, and temporal vortex vein erved a extraocular exit of the drainage route in three of the 10 eye. Concluion: In central retinal vein occluion with papillary loop, blood in the retinal vein ultimately drained into the vortex vein through the retinochoroidal collateral.
