Anterior uveiti aociated with latanoprot Original Reearch Article

Purpoe: To report the aociation of anterior uveiti with the ue of latanoprot. Method: We tudied four patient with complicated open-angle glaucoma who had anterior uveiti aociated with the ue of latanoprot. The uveiti wa unilateral and occurred only in the eye receiving latanoprot in three patient. In one patient, latanoprot wa ued in both eye, and the uveiti wa bilateral. Four of five eye had a hitory of prior inflammation and/or prior inciional urgery. All patient were rechallenged with the drug. Reult: The uveiti improved after ceation of latanoprot with or without topical corticoteroid. It recurred after rechallenging with latanoprot in all eye. Concluion: There i a poible aociation between latanoprot and anterior uveiti. Topical protaglandin analog may be relatively contraindicated in patient with a hitory of uveiti or prior ocular urgery. Thi aociation may alo be poible in eye that have not had previou uveiti or inciional urgery.
