Two cae of unilateral retinal neovacularization in turner yndrome

Purpoe: To report two cae of unilateral retinal neovacularization in Turner yndrome. Method: We examined two female infant, born at 34 week’ and 33 week’ getation, who had received oxygen for 9 day and 3 day, repectively, after birth. Both infant had the 45,XO karyotype of Turner yndrome. Reult: In each patient, the fundu of one eye howed an avacular area, neovacularization, and multiple branching with anatomoi of retinal veel in the temporal periphery. Fellow eye howed no abnormalitie in the fundi. Both infant were treated with argon laer photocoagulation to the avacular area and the neovacularization in the temporal periphery. The neovacularization regreed completely after retinal photocoagulation. Concluion: Abnormalitie of retinal veel may be one of the ocular finding aociated with Turner yndrome.
